  46. The Zip file adds the files needed for VMS.  VMS is the whole reason we
  47. have a Zip file.  The tar archives can't be used in VMS (as a rule).  And
  48. the VMS files are generally not wanted in Unix.  But in case you do want
  49. them on a Unix system, you can get the Zip file instead of the Tar one.
